Desert Night Light
With the light of the Milky Way you can see the sleeping face in the sand. This is the Casa Grande Ruins in Coolidge Az., the lights from the city of Casa Grande (20 miles) light the horizon behind the ruins to the southwest. The Milky Way Galactic Center in November is just 2.3 degrees high and the city lights wash it out but with dark skies a galactic spiral is seen very clearly up and overhead with just your eyes. Lights from farms are in front of distant hills.
