Stormy Sunset
I setup on the pier across the basin from the USS Halyburton an hour before sunset. Storm clouds floated right to left (north to South). Everything appeared to be looking perfect but 15 minutes before sunset this bank of dark clouds moved in. I was doing some practice with different lenses due to the failed sunset capture BUT I had the ship zoomed in on and the water suddenly turned golden. I looked up to see this awesome site. No one would have believed grey on grey with golden water so I zoomed back half way to also capture the cause of the golden water. The sun had already set behind the cloud bank producing a below the horizon like sunset I was looking for just 10 minutes later. Canon T2i using Promote Control set at 9 frames at 1 ev separation. EF 24-105 @ 77 mm 100 ISO.
